ORIENTAL RUG ZINE

ABOUT US

At the inception of Oriental Rug Zine, its publisher, editor and gofer is Emmett Eiland. Emmett hopes to get others involved  in the magazine as reporters, correspondents, writers, editors, book reviewers - anything. Because the magazine is non-profit, we cannot offer pay.
We toy with the idea, though, of offering links to their web sites (personal or business) to those who help us.

For the record: Emmett Eiland has been in the oriental rug business in Berkeley, California for over 30 years, involved with both antique and newly made rugs. He has filmed rug-making in Afghanistan, lectured about rugs, been involved in exhibitions of rugs and is the author of Tent Bands of the Steppes and Oriental Rugs Today, (Berkeley Hills Books, 2000). Emmett, along with his wife, Natasha, maintains an extensive, informative web site: Emmett Eiland's Oriental Rugs. He may be reached at emmett@internetrugs.com.  You may phone 510.526.1087.
